1 - Pick a database to search. Each database is a collection of similar journals. In the "Databases" box, on the left, you will see some labeled as "Best Bet". They are "Best Bets" because they have a significant amount of material for social work.
ERIC - Government database of Education, Educational Psychology, and Psychology testing materials. A lot of material dealing with youth and children.
PsycARTICLES - a ProQuest database of psychology journals.
PubMed - Government database of medical and psychological materials.
ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials - an EBSCO database of theology, ministry and Biblical Studies.
ProQuest Research Library - a ProQuest database with a bit of everything.
2 - Enter your search terms in the search box. If you have a set of keywords, authors, theorists, and the like, search with those, and leave the dropdown box on "keyword". If, on the other hand, you kept a list of subject headings, as described in the "Finding Books" tab, then use those and change the dropdown box to "subject".
3 - Refine your list by either adding a keyword, selecting "peer review only", or by setting the publication dates.
