BIBLICAL STUDIES: Atlases and Chronologies

Definition - Atlases and Chronologies

Atlases are books that include maps and charts of data that relate to locations mentioned in the Bible or are historically important. Typically the text in an atlas deals with interpretation of the map or chart, e.g. rain fall or crop production in a region.

Chronologies are timelines/charts giving very basic sketches of history. There are broad dates given for entire histories of Israel to very detailed timelines of the ministry of Paul.
