Where to Get Started

You will probably want to get introduced to your ideas/concepts by looking at some general reference works (dictionaries and encyclopedias). There you will find key terms (academic in nature) that you can use to improve your research in the library catalog. After consulting some general reference works, you may want to turn to the area of history and culture. For those ideas you will want to turn to monographs (books about single subjects) or to journal articles.
