Through annual budgetary commitment and the generosity of alumni and other friends of the college, the Library is able to provide necessary resources and research tools for academic scholarship. Because the Library represents a large financial investment, the college administration views the abuse or misuse of Library resources and/or privileges as a serious offense, and requires Library personnel to document such offenses. Patrons unable to exercise self-discipline in the Library are subject to Library suspension.
Noise, conversation, or behavior that disturbs others is prohibited. Patrons are expected to display and support good stewardship of all Library resources, including books and other materials, furnishings, supplies, and equipment.
The college dress code will be in effect in the Library.
All patrons must present their valid ID card in order to check out Library materials. Third-party check-outs are not permitted. All materials being removed from the Library must be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
Patrons are expected to return or renew Library materials by the date they are due. Phone and email renewals are accepted, providing the patron initiates renewal on or before the due date.
Overdue and/or fine notices are sent to patrons on a weekly basis. If the fine for a regular overdue material, or non-reserve, is paid at the time of return, said fine will be reduced by one half. Check-out privileges will be suspended for patrons with any overdue material(s) and/or unpaid fine(s). Patrons who habitually violate the Library’s return policy, or who do not respond to overdue/fine notices, risk disciplinary action.
Yes to food, but must be low odor foods, quiet foods, in non-spill containers.
Yes to drinks, but must have a lid.
Both must be kept away from computers, books, and journals.

Administration, faculty, staff, and students of LPC Library in need of a book or other material not owned by the Library may request that the Library staff transact an ILL loan on his/her behalf. When such a request is made, the Library staff will undertake to locate a cooperating library which has the material, make contact, and request that the material be sent to us by mail or digitally when applicable. The library will not perform ILL requests for alumni, Foursquare pastors, institutional members, outside patrons, or patrons with suspended privileges (see Library Fine(s) Policies).
The Library will not fulfill ILL Book requests for Non-Traditional students (DCP, MASL, ELN, etc.) because of the inability to both fulfill, and return materials in a manner that fits within the time constraints of accelerated programs. The library will however, fulfill requests for students enrolled in Non-traditional programs who live within the surrounding area of the college and are capable of physically picking up and returning material at the LPC campus.
In most instances, the library can receive materials from lending libraries at no charge. In the event that an item is only available for a fee, the Library will pay all applicable service fees charged by lending libraries, as well as return postage depending upon the following criteria:
Approval of all ILL requests requiring a fee is dependent upon sufficient funds in the library budget. The money allotted to ILL, and the amount designated for caps may be adjusted annually to reflect budgetary concerns of the library and best practices within the industry.
