Faculty input is an essential component in the library’s over all collection development process. As content experts, faculty provide much needed insight on current trends, authors, and controversies within their field of study and teaching. In order to elicit faculty recommendations for the library collection, the library has intentionally tried to make the recommendation process as easy and quick as possible. To this end the library scheduled two purchasing cycles to correspond with existing faculty meetings, subscribed to online review and purchase sites, and systematically reviews faculty bibliographies in existing course outlines. The library encourages faculty participation and has the following ways for faculty to submit titles for acqusition:
